Working to keep your mind sharp over the summer? Here are some suggested resources:
MATHEMATICS
Over the summer, we suggest working on math by doing the following:

IXL Mathematics--Work on the Recommendations tab 30 minutes/day and the Diagnostics tab 30 minutes/week.

Second Grade Number Talks--Making flashcards to practice number relationships.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS
Each month, we will focus on reading a chapter book together.
Everything you need to participate in our "book club" will be online for you.
This month, we are reading Holes by Louis Sachar
Looking to see if this book is a good fit for your student?
Check the reviews on Common Sense media or speak to your child's teacher.
In book club, we will read a set of chapters each day, but you can read at your own pace.
The suggested pace is outlined below and allows students to finish by the end of June.
Feel free to adapt to your own schedule.
